When I say super foods what do I mean, you ask? Well, how about foods with Omega 3, and all the best anti-oxidants, vitamins, and reputation for being super healthy. Foods like salmon, avocados, tomatoes, broccoli, walnuts, almonds, garlic, blueberries, dark chocolate, cinnamon, etc. Why not go do your own homework and look and find all the super foods and add them to your diet? You owe it to your body to do this.

Moderation is the key to everything. Many people operate in an either/or mode - either they are following a program perfectly, or they are simply going wild with their eating habits. A true lifestyle plan will be easy to follow because you won't have to worry about counting calories or weighing foods. Why? Because you are operating from a zone called moderation. This zone is tough for many people to find, and sometimes it requires going through a strict dietary regimen in order to create the control you deserve to have over food, instead of allowing food to control you.



Almost everything you buy in this day and age has low fat written on it. As the only society in the history of humanity to actively go low fat, it is no surprise to see we are the fattest. With no correlation between fat consumption (we are not eating more today than the past) and obesity you do wonder how much longer people are going to keep sounding this low-fat horn. By not eating fat within your meals you will invariably not hit your ideal fuel mix and this will mean you are hungry or have food cravings. At this point you are much more likely to eat high sugar or sensitive foods, e.g. chocolate, breads, biscuits etc. Low fat meals also mean you do not consume enough of the fat soluble vitamins. This reduces overall efficiency which will affect body fat.



Online and Offline Support. Attempt to share your initiative with your friends, even with members of your family. Or join a group or online community with people sharing your interests.

So when I first retired, I took to completing crossword puzzles every day, feeling that maybe I needed some mental stimulation now that I didn't have the mental challenges of my previous occupation. However, crosswords are essentially Healthy living advice boring and not my thing at all. Or maybe I'm just no good at them. Then in an email I was alerted to a website that provides mentally stimulating puzzles and logic tests. I did a free trial of some of the services. However, I found it a bit stressful, and didn't think I really wanted to join up and pay the monthly fee, so I didn't pursue it.

Don't be afraid to try new programs, new dishes, and new recipes. Don't pre-qualify your decisions by going to research and reading about calories and studying the fat content. Instead, just try it. Keep a journal. Record your feelings in the journal. Observe how your body reacts. Create a dialogue with food that works for you rather than living in someone else's system. Don't fear change - change is required to move from overweight or obese to Healthy living advice and lean!

The dog's body is connected to its mind. When the body is sick, the mind responds in the manner seen. The dog goes to rest and stops eating. The dog did not lose appetite, but instead is re-directing its body's energy towards the healing process. Digestion uses a lot of energy. That is natural. It's only a dog, you think. All animals react this way instinctively.

Avoid foods that you know have a lot of calorific value. Do not even think of potato or even bread that is white. These are highly calorific and almost useless when compared to food that is healthy.
